When I was 10 my father said, you're going to law school and you're going to be a lawyer, I told him, I'm not a lawyer, I'm creative, I'm a writer. I did go to NYU Law school; however, much to my father's dismay, I met someone from NYU film school. Although I graduated, passed the bar, and began practicing law, it only lasted 18 months. I wrote my first screenplay and signed with William Morris. I sold 3 screenplays and did rewriting work. I have created video characters, video games and Founded Companies. I had an amazing education and wanted to share it, so I volunteered for over 10 years teaching at-risk kids grades K-12. That's where I learned how to engage middle grade kids; I learned what makes them laugh and what opens them up to learn. My students pretended to be well so they wouldn’t miss my class.
